We’ve officially used up the last of the 16GB MicroSDs. 16GB capacities have been on their way out for quite some time and are now (typically) even more expensive than 32GB cards when you can find them. (Also true with 8GB, and often even 4GB; they can still be found, but they’re usually old-stock and selling for more than just getting 32GB…) So they have been phased out.
All of the collections that we had previously shipped on 16GB cards were very tiny. For now, we’ve switched four of the EverDrive preloaded collections (Game Gear, Master System, GameBoy/GBC, and NES) to 4GB cards to keep the price as low as possible. (Still plenty of room! The largest of the four, NES, is still only 1GB total.)
Prices have been lowered slightly to match the smaller capacity cards. When the 4GB cards run out, everything will have to be switched to 32GB as the only capacity practically available, and the pricing will be adjusted to our 32GB card rate sitewide.
Not interested in a tiny 4GB and just want to use your own media? We have also added a Digital Download option for GameBoy/GBC and NES where it was previously not available.
